I don't remember any more until I found myself leaning against a wall, Mr Blackman and Mr Remy supporting me, one on each side and I realized I had a blood soaked! handkerchief in my hand. They took me along to Mr Blackman's bedroom and I sat on the side of the bed.
…
I have seen men, arrested and fined for being drunk, in a similar condition. Mr Blackman took Mr Tarrington away to his room.
…
Mr Yarrington was leaning against the wall in a dazed condition, there was blood all over his face and a cut on ‘his forehead. Remy, Blackman and, myself took Yarrington to Mr Blackman's room. I rang up the doctor, awaited his arrival and took him to Mr Blackman's accused went away towards the back of room.

Francois Remy, residing at Club Hotel, Darwin, deposed. I know both the infor- mant and the accused. I remember last Saturday night at the Club Hotel after 10 o'clock., I was in the hall and, I heard a noise. I walked up and I saw Mr Blackman had Mr Yarrington by the arm. Mr Yar- lington was bleeding from the face. The accused was making towards Yarrington when I caught accused hy the throat and pushed him back. I said "Go back,*' ac- cused answered, "alright Frank I go back." I then took accused to my room and gave him a towel and showed him the bathroom to go wash himself. I left accused there and came back to Blackman's room. I saw Dr Cook there.
…
Edwin Harley Blackman, barman at the Club Hotel, Darwin desposed,. I know Mr Yarrington and the accused. I remember last Saturday night at the Club Hotel after 10 p.m. A few minutes after 10 after leaving the bar I heard a scuffle in the billiard room. I walked straight into the billiard room and I saw Mr Yarrington and accused through the door in the pass- age on the ground;. They were in the pass- age between the billiard and dining rooms. I went across and by that time both of them were on their feet. I said "Stop" and got Mr Yarrington by the arm. Accused was hitting at Yarrington and doing all the fighting whether he was getting the blows in I could not say. When I took Yarlington by the arm he was very groggy and was covered in blood on his face and clothes. I couldn't see at the time where the blood was coming from. Remy came behind me and getting accused by the neck pushed him back; I took Mr Yarrington into my room to wash the blood off. When I washed, the blood off I saw a big gash in his forehead and I tied it up.I sent for the doctor and was there when the doctor arrived. I saw the accused in the bar a few minutes before 10. He was more or less drunk. Mr Allen, Mr Stoddart and two other gentlemens unknown to me, were in the bar with accused. Mr Stoddart was in the same condition as accused. I did not notice who was about when I took Yar rington to my room.
This closed the case for the informant.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
