KIANDRA, Monday.

After exhaustive trials, a vehicle for sleigh- ing on the snow has been designed by Mr. Julius Forsstrom. It is drawn by a horse, and is capable of carrying four persons.

Writing on the subject of the Lobb's Hole copper mine, Mr. J. Vercoe, of Marrickville, states it is incorrect to say that the lode was not worked between the time it was abandoned by the discoverers-a party of Cornlshmen-and the time it was taken up by Forsstrom and party. This statement was made in the "Herald" article on the authority of Mr Julius Forsstrom. Mr. Vercoe writes…

DISTRICT COURTS.
TUMUT, Sunday.
In the District Court, before Acting Judge Hamilton, William Argalt, of Gunda-gai, sued Julius Forsstrom, of Washington Hotel, Ravine, for an alleged breach of con- tract in connection with tho lease of the hotel. Plaintiff claimed £400 damages. Defendant ad- mitted that there was an agreement, but not a formal one to lease. A verdict by consent was entered for £35 without costs.
