AUSTRAUAN NAVAL COLLEGE Melbourne, Oct. 11. Of 36 West Australian candidates for the entrance examination to the Royal Australian Naval College, 35 passed the provisional medical examination, and 15 the qualifying educational examination. The West Australian boys will appear before the interviewing committee in Adelaide where they will be brought by rail, between November 20 to 23. The Acting Minister for the Navy (Mr. Poynton) on Saturday made available the results of the recent examination for entry to the Royal Australian Naval College. The undermentioned boys have been ap-pointed cadet midshipmen and will join the naval college about the end of January. It was decided to award a certain number of special cadetships as follows:- (a) To the sons of persons who have been on active service abroad in the AIF or Naval and Military Expeditionary Force to New Guinea; (b) to the sons of persons who have been on active service abroad in the Royal Australian Navy during the present war and (c) to the sons of persons who have been killed or totally incapacitated during the present war. Candidates ap-pointed under these conditions are: -
