bullet  Death Notes:

Excerpts from her obituary, as reprinted in source: " The Korea
Mission of the United Church of Canada suffered a great loss when on
July 22, 1938 Mrs. A.H. Barker passed from her earthly home near
Fredericton, N.B. to join the small band of Korea Missionaries who
have entered the portals of the home beyond.... Coming to Korea in
1911 with her husband, Rev. A.H. Barker, she was fitted by her
natural gifts through training and deep consecration for the work to
which she gave her life. As pioneer missionaries, she and her husband
knew many of the deep privations and physical hardships of those
days.... From the first Mrs. Barker devoted herself wholeheartedly to
the study of the language and to work among women and children in
Church, Sunday Schools and day schools, knowing the work of country
and local station, both evangelistic and educational as few are
privileged to do. She founded the school for girls from which has
grown Myung Sin Girls Lower and High Schools.... After her husband's
death [in 1929], she returned as a worker under the Women's
Missionary Society and her later years were given chiefly to the
Martha Wilson Memorial Bible Training School in which she took the
greatest delight. Although having for years to contend with ill
health she accomplished a great deal, not only in her main work in
the Bible School but also in the local Church and Women's Missionary
Society, a work which will go on in the lives of the women she
trained for service, who have caught something of her spirit of
concentration and devotion to the Master.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
