Oddfellows' Social Reunion.
THE Loyal Star of the East Lodge of Oddfellows M.U., held their annual social reunion in the Lodge's hall, Grafton, on Wednesday evening There was a good attendance of the members, and a fair number of visitors. The catering was well attended to by a Social committee, and the spread was a creditable one. The Lodge's banner was conspiouously displayed near the head of the table. The chair was occupied by N.G. Bro. C. Strauss and vice-chair by P.V.G. Bro. Richard Brindle.

DEATH OF MR. R. BRINDLE.
Oa Saturday, in the Grafton General Hos-pital, the death occurred of Mr. Robert Brindle. He was for some time captain, of the Grafton Fire Station. Deceased, who was 53 years of age, will be remembered in this district as a capable athlete and an ex-cellent cricketer. Mrs. M. Pritchard, Mrs. J. J. Shea, and Mrs. J. Saul (Grafton), and Mrs. E. J. Cato (Sydney) are sisters, and Messrs, John and Richard Brindle(Sydney)and Mr. George Brindle (South Grafton) brothers of deceased.
