Dear-Chatwood.
Au interesting marriage was solemnised
at St Peter's Church of England,
Wynnum South, on November 15,
the church being thronged with
spectators. The bridegroom was
Mr Rex. G. A. Dear (eldest son of Mr.
and Mrs. C Dear, of Eagle Junction) and
the bride Miss E. M. (Nell) Chatwood
(second daughter of Mrs. Chatwood
Palmyra, Wynnum South). The Rev. H.
P. Hale officiated. The church was pret-
tily decorated by girl friends of the
bride, the chancel being arranged so as
to form an arch, from which was suspend-
ed a handsome wedding bell of white car-
nations and roses (kindly made by Mrs.
J. M. Geddes). Miss Maggie Lloyd
(cousin of the bride) sang " A Song of
Thanksgiving," and Me Bryant officiated
at the organ. As the bride entered the
church the congregation sang " The Voice
that breathed o'er Eden." The bride,
who was given away by bei uncle (Mr.
E. Chatwood), wore a dainty wedding
robe of rich ivory charmeuse, the skirt
cut with square train ornamented with
sprays of orange blossoms and handsomely
worked in seed pearls. The Magyar bodice
was draped with shadow lace and small
kiltings, of ninon, showing vest and under-

acted as best man, and Mr. H. T. F.
Geddes as groomsman. After the ceremony
the bridal party motored to Palmyra, the
pretty home of the bride's mother, where
the wedding breakfast was held. Only
relations of the bride and bridegroom
were present. The tables were dccorated
with white and pink carnations, and the
centre of the bride's table was ornamented
with a three-tier wedding cake. They usual
toasts were honoured. Later Mr. and
Mrs. R. G. A. Dear left by motor, en
route to Southport and Tweed Heads for
the honeymoon. Mrs. R. G. A. Dear
wore a costume of white voile, richly em-
bossed in amber silk, and a Leghorn hat

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
