AN ASSAULT CASE.
JEALOUSY THE CAUSE. Port Augusta, March 28.
At the Police Court to-day Alfred Morgan was charged with assaulting Overton Leeds Whittaker, and was bound over in his own recognisances in the turn of £50 to keep the peace for six months. The assault arose out of jealousy. It is alleged that Morgan's wife left her husband's residence at Haw-ker, and came to Port Augusta with Whittaker. Morgan followed and discovered them at the residence of Mr. Daley, where the assault took place. The defendant produced a letter couched in loving terms from the complainant, and said this letter, which had been carelessly left behind, and the rumors that he had heard at Hawker, led him to seek his wife at Port Augusta. The court commented upon the complainant's action in writing in each endearing terms to another man's wife.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
