OBITUARY
MRS. D. T. BYRNES
The death occurred in Lewisham
Hospital, Wagga, yesterday morning
of a well known and highly respected
resident of Wagga, Mrs. Lydia Byrnes,
wife of Mr. Daniel Terence Byrnes,
of 7 Wollundry avenue, Wagga. at
the age of 58 years. Mrs. Byrnes,
who has been a resident of Wagga
for the past 30 years, was the young-
est daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Alfred Cramp, of Cowra. At
Sydney in 1914 she married Mr.
Byrnes, who survives her. She is
also survived by two sisters and three
brothers, Messrs. Alfred Cramp
(Young), Joseph Cramp (Windsor),
Septimus Cramp (Cowra). Mrs. A.
Muir (Cowra), and Mrs. F. Bennett
(Double Bay). Mrs. Byrnes was
Mayoress of Wagga in 1924-25, dur-
ing the term her husband was Mayor,
and following that period, she un-
derwent a very serious operation
which precluded her from taking fur-
ther interest in public affairs. She
has been in indifferent health ever
since but her last illness was rather
sudden. Mrs. Byrnes was only taken
to Lewlsham Hospital on Thursday
last but did not respond after an
operation on Sunday night and died
yesterday morning. Her sister, Mrs
Frank Bennett, of Sydney, arrived by
mail plane yesterday morning in
time to see her sister before her
death. Mrs. Byrnes was of a most
unassuming nature, and it can be
truly said that she was well loved
by all who knew her. She had a
particular fondness for elderly People
and did not pass along the street
without having many stops to ex-
change greetings with these ladies
who returned her love for them. Mrs
Bynes will be sadly missed by all
whose good fortune it was to know
her. The funeral will take place this
afternoon, the cortege being ap-
pointed to move from St. John's
Church of England, Wagga, after a
service to commence at 2.30 o'clock
for the Wagga Cemetery.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
