OBITUARY
MRS. SERINA A. GILSON
CASINO, Thursday.'97 Mrs. Serina
Alma Gilson, whose funeral took
place this afternoon at the Casino
Methodist cemetery, was the eldest
daughter of the late Edward and
Eliza Hicks. She was born at
Woodville, Paterson River, in
1868.
Mrs. Gilson passed away in the
Memorial Hospital on December 29.
She was married at Belmore, Pat-
erson River, to Mr. Charles Gil-
son in 1889, and went with her hus-
band to live at Brandon on the
Williams River and later at Glen
Levitt, near Clarence Town, for a
number of years. They after
wards came to the Richmond and
settled at Tomki and later at
Dobie's Bight, engaging in dairy-
ing. Her husband, predeceased her
three years ago. Mrs. Gilson lived
for some years prior to her death
with Mr. and Mrs. Grafton Cramp .
at Casino. She is survived by
three sons, Watkin (Casino), Stan-
ley (Grafton) and Raymond (Cod-
rington). Daughters are Mes-
dames F. Bodycote (Casino), G.
Cramp (Casino) and J. Eggins
(Dobie's Bight). Brothers are
Messrs. F. H. Hicks (McKee's Hill),
A. Hicks (Strand road). Sisters
are Mesdames E. Mclnnes (New
Brighton); E. King (Kyogle), F.
Lambly, (.East Maitland), and Miss
Fenetta Hicks (East Mainland). At
the service held in the Casino
Methodist Church this afternoon
