Young Man found Drowned
Crookwell Gazette, 26th April 1961.
A young farm hand was found floating in a Crookwell dam late on Saturday afternoon.
The man was Bernard James Cramp (26), single, of Thalaba, via Crookwell. He had been missing since March 23.
Police believe his body had been in the dam for about 10 days. Mr John Berrell, owner of the property, found the body at 5.30 pm on Saturday. It was badly decomposed. Police believe Cramp was driving a tractor on the property on the night of March23 , when it toppled into the dam. The dam is about 10 feet deep.
Sgt Cavanagh (Crookwell) is in charge of investigations. Police have been told it was believed that Cramp had gone to Sydney to attend the Royal Show.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
