• Obituary: Gouburn Herald, 1888 Sep 8, Goulburn, Argyle County, New South Wales. 2 We regret to record the demise of Dr Edward Webster, which took place at his residence, Crookwell River, Binda, on Friday August 31st, from general decay. Dr Websterwas a very old colonist, having arrived in the colony in 1833, and had resided in the Binda district for thirty-six years. For some years after he arrived in the colony he practiced his profession in Parramatta, during the time of Drs Rutter and Quinn, and while doing so made numerous and lasting friendships by his kindness, geniality and urbanity. Dr Webster in his youger days gave some attention to sport of which he was a great admirer, particularly if it carried on in a legitimate manner. He was the owner of the mare which it is recorded that she performed the remarkable feat of trotting from Parramatta to Sydney in 45 minutes. The docotor handled the ribons and this sensational race took place to decide a small wager between him and a friend. At the time of his death Dr Webster had reached the age of eighty-one(sic). He was married fifty-four years ago and leave a widow, four sonts, and two daughters, all of whom are maried, forty grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr E A Webster of Binda is on the deceased's sons. The doctor had been a remarkably healthy and robust man, until about two years ago, when he had to submit to nature and become some-what feeble. During the past eight months he became confine to his bed and remianed so until he passed away, deeply regretted by his family and friends and highly repsected by all. We may mention that of late years he had lived a retired life, but his shill has on more that one occasion proved invaluable to his neighbours.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
