Arthur married Florence May Marks [1368] [MRIN: 13380], daughter of John Marks [1369] and Elizabeth Preston Moffit [1370], on 1900 Jun 30 in New South Wales, Australia. (Florence May Marks [1368] was born in 1863 in Kiama, Camden County, New South Wales 1 and died in 1932 in Woollahra District, New South Wales, Australia.)

bullet  Noted events in their marriage were:

Another engagement I note is that between Miss Edith Marks, eldest daughter of Mr. J. Marks, of Potts Point, and Mr. Arthur Shute. The Marks' are a very upper crust Jewish family indeed, and the number of beauties they have produced is astonishing. It was a Miss Marks, if I mistake not, who became the bride of Paget Bayly, son of Nicholas Paget Bayly, of Mudgee, one of our genuine millionaires and a cousin of the Marquis of Duglesey. It was a very fashionable affair that, and created quite a stir ; but the bridegroom died early on the honeymoon voyage to England, and his bride was a widow almost before she had begun to realise she was a wife. I have heard that the whole of the Bayly money reverted to the family, and that the bulk of it is now held by Alfred Bayly, the late Mr. Paget Bayly's brother.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
