DISORDERLY IN A RAILWAY
CARRIAGE.
Yesterday morning five young men William Perriman, Tasman Webber, Thos. Best, J. Pelham, and Thos. J. Balmforth were brought before the City Magistrate by Superintendent Conlan upon warrants charging them with hav-ing been guilty of disorderly conduct in a railway carriage. The evidence adduc-ed was to the effect that the lads last Sunday were returning from Glenorchy to Hobart at about 6 o'clock, and that their conduct was offensive. It was stat-ed for the defence that Perriman, Web-ber, and Best did not contribute to the disorder, or make use of bad language, but that they had endeavoured to re-strain their companions from behaving so stupidly and offensively. The Magis-trate discharged this trio, but ordered Pelham to pay a fine of £1, and 8s. 6d.costs, and Balmforth £2, and similar costs; in default, terms of imprisonment were imposed.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
