Orange Blossoms.
GIRDLESTONE'97DEAR.
A pretty, but quiet wedding took place on Saturday
afternoon at the Eagle Junction Church. The bride, Miss
Jessie Walter Dear, youngest daughter of J. W. Dear, Esq.,
of Gin-Gin, Sandgate, and formerly of Gin-Gin Station,
near Bundaberg. The bridegroom, Nelson Bolton Girdlestone,
Esq., is the second son of the late Dr. Henry Girdlestone, who
lived so many years in Sandgate and other parts of Queens-
land, and of Mrs. Girdlestone, of Hunt Road, Berea, Durban,
South Africa. Only immediate relatives were present. The
bride, who was given away by her father, wore her travelling
gown of dark blue cloth, white silk vest and beautiful feather
boa, large black picture hat, in which she looked very pretty.
After the ceremony the bridal pair left for Toowoomba.
en route for Sydney, where they will catch the mail boat
boat leaving for South Africa. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Girdle
stone received many pretty and useful presents, both being
great favourites. They will reside in Durban, Natal.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
