MR. E. T. CRAMP
The death at Lismore Base Hospital late on Saturday of Mr. Ernest Thomas Cramp removed from the district one of the oldest practising boot makers. The late Mr. Cramp, who was 64 years of age, was born at Grafton. As a child, he came with his parents to Lismore, where Mr. Cramp, senr., set up business as a boot maker. The business was joined by Mr. Ernest T. Cramp when a young man. He con-tinued until his retirement a few weeks ago.
His funeral, which took place from St. Carthage's Cathedral yesterday afternoon, was well attended by friends and members of the Buffalo Lodge. Father D. Troy con-ducted the service at the Cathedral and read the pray-ers at the graveside.
Mr. Cramp is survived by two brothers, Bart (Lismore) and Joseph (Newcastle), and two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Lismore) and Mrs. O'Connor (Summer Hill). Pallbearers at the church and graveside were Messrs. J. Cramp, L. Law-rence, K. Irwin (nephews), S. Wagner, R. Maher, J. Sherlock, Wreaths were carried by Messrs B. and J. Cramp (brothers), N. Cramp, E Romano (nephews). Cochran Bros, had charge of the fun-eral arrangements.
