bullet   Cause of his death was Mudered by the Bushranger John Peisley. Shot in the throat. Subsequenty paralysed and died.

His brother (Steve) was also murdered. (Or at least slightly wounded.) 4

Shot on 28th of December, Died a few days after. There is conjecture as to if this was premeditated morder, or as it seems more likly a shooting accident after an argument between men who knew each other well and had been drinking.

The man who fired the pistol, was Jack Perisley, a man known by the police and who was subsequently captured in Tarcutta and hung in Bathurst on 25 March 1862.
