Breakfast at Uncle Chow

Well, I am suspicious. We followed a sign down a side street away from the main shopping centre, then into another little set of houses and found a coffee shop tucked away way down here. They said there had been a sign up on the main road. But I would go so far as to say, it was the best place I ate at in Malaysia. Uncle Chow. Run by a Chinese man form Ipoh. All I had was a soft boiled egg, toast with coconut jam and butter. And of course, a coffee. Simple. The other had more complicate meals. I am not sure why I said it was the best. I think it was a combination of a bunch of factors. Maybe it was becuase the man who ran the place reminded me of my father.

The man clearly thought is was good to impress, out condiments came on a little plate. But we were the only ones with this.
