cosmopolitan or multicultural

A man at my work pointed out that the difference between Sydney and Melbourne is that Sydney is Cosmopolitan and Melbourne is Multicultural. I think that there is a fair modicum of truth in this. The problem for Sydneysiders is that I am Multicultural.
