There is nowhere else that I have so far that lists these two as his wives. Wife 4 was Ng Yoon Than. Ng Moi and Ng Sam Moi are not listed as wives in the various proceedings about the deceased\u2019s estate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Also Yap Tow Onn has the wrong name. If he was a son of Yap Swee his name would be Yap Yit xxx.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He has the wrong generation name. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s4\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jelapang,_Perak?wprov=sfti1\">Jelapang<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">is a town in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kinta_District\"><span class=\"s5\">Kinta<\/span><\/a>\u00a0district, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Perak\"><span class=\"s5\">Perak<\/span><\/a>. It is a northern suburb of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ipoh\"><span class=\"s5\">Ipoh<\/span><\/a>. This is the only mention I have of Yap Swee living in Jelapang. We do know he lived in Menglembu. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Malaya Tribune, Page 2.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Suit Against Seven Widows at Ipoh<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">(From Our Own Reporter)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ipoh, Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">After a protracted hearing spread over several days, the civil suit brought by Yap Thow Onn against the seven widows of Yap Swee, deceased miner of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Menglembu?wprov=sfti1\">Menglembu<\/a> and L. J. Peace, claiming that he is a natural and lawful son of the deceased and therefore entitled to as hare in the property, was concluded yesterday in the Supreme Court before the Hon. Mr, Justice C. M. Murray Ansley. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">Evidence of one of the witnesses for the plaintiff given yesterday was to the effect that he had known the deceased for about 30 years. They lived in Jelapang several years ago. Witness was a timber merchant while deceased was a miner. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Witness\u2019s Denial<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">Witness knew of two sisters, Ng Moi and Ng Sam Moi. They lived with the deceased together. One of them adopted a son, the son of a medicine seller.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">Witness had never known a man living with the two sisters as his wives. It was a most disgraceful thing, he agreed in cross examination. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">He denied having been coached to give evidence or being bought. He was asked about two days ago to give evidence, and to tell what he knew about the case. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">After the address of the counsel, who addressed his lordship on the question of domicile, his lordship reserved judgment. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">The defendants in this suits are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.familysearch.org\/tree\/person\/LT9F-8V4\">Wong Ngee Yew<\/a>, (f), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.familysearch.org\/tree\/person\/LTS6-HGF\">Loh Ngeuk<\/a> (f), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.familysearch.org\/tree\/person\/LT9F-8MX\">Wong Yuk Lan<\/a> (f), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.familysearch.org\/tree\/person\/LTS6-Q1W\">Ng Yoon Than<\/a> (f), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.familysearch.org\/tree\/person\/LTS6-4SS\">Low Keow<\/a> (f), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.familysearch.org\/tree\/person\/LT9F-2LR\">Chin Sow Sim<\/a> (f),<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.familysearch.org\/tree\/person\/LTS6-ZBJ\">Choy Lin<\/a> (f) and L. J. Peace. The first seven defendants are widows of the deceased, the seventh being a minor. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">Defendants three, six and eight are sued as administrators of the estate. The fourth defendant is not admitted by the other six widows as the widow of the deceased. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">Mr. H. R. Rix appeared for the first, second, third, fifth and seventh while Dr. O. Y. Teh and Mr. G. S.
