To help her rest, I took the kids out to Centennial Park in the hope that we might see the swans and signets. I had not been there for some time, so I did not know if they were still there. I had not driven to\u00a0centennial\u00a0park before. Normally I ride the GT3. I missed the parking and had to do a loop. I discovered that if you leave the i30cw in 3rd gear with no\u00a0accelerator\u00a0it will happily motor along at 27\u00a0km\/h. So I just did this. As it is 3.5 km around, this takes quite some time. We parked and headed up to the cafe to get some lunch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/yewenyi\/6069317802\/sizes\/l\/in\/photostream\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10315\" title=\"In Search of Swans\" src=\"http:\/\/yewenyi.net\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/2011-07-12-at-13-35-51.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Having sated our bellies, I decided to walk with the kids down to the lakes as I did not know what the parking would be like down there. As it was I needn&#8217;t have worried. Still the kids handled the long walk very well. When we first got there we found lots of ducks and some teenager swans. But no babies. I was a bit\u00a0disappointed. But still the kids were very good and just looked at them from a distance. I was\u00a0worried\u00a0they would want to jump in the lakes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/yewenyi\/6069318572\/sizes\/l\/in\/photostream\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10316\" title=\"In Search of Swans\" src=\"http:\/\/yewenyi.net\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/2011-07-12-at-13-58-29.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"325\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">I decided to walk along the main lake. There were many fun things to play on.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/yewenyi\/6068774047\/sizes\/l\/in\/photostream\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10320\" title=\"In Search of Swans\" src=\"http:\/\/yewenyi.net\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/2011-07-12-at-14-06-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This wandering turned out to be a good idea as we found the babies.
