{"id":1406,"date":"2008-04-07T18:12:00","date_gmt":"2008-04-07T08:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/yewenyi.net\/wpblog\/?p=1406"},"modified":"2008-04-07T18:12:00","modified_gmt":"2008-04-07T08:12:00","slug":"the-rainmakers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yewenyi.net\/wp\/old\/?p=1406","title":{"rendered":"The Rainmakers"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify\">Well, Visiting the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.folkfestival.asn.au\/\">National Folk Festival<\/a>, of course I purchased some CDs. <a href=\"http:\/\/jam.org.au\/moxie\/venues\/eastside\/the-rainmakers-first-sydn.shtml\">The Rainmakers<\/a> (otherwise knows as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.makingmusic.com.au\/html\/Rainmakers%20home.html\">rigby thomson family band<\/a>, being Jane Thompson, James, Maggie, Elsie and Naomi Rigby) was one of the best surprises of the festival. Kate knew them and insisted we all go and watch. Very clever and complex harmonies.  The tracks are recorded live. Unfortunately the highlight of the show, money money money, is not on the CD. But all the tracks are of an excellent quality. Here are my thee favourite songs, though they are all very good.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My favourite track on the album is <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">It&#8217;s a Free World<\/span>.
