As for as long as I can remember, I have avoided them. But when I travelled a lot for work, I did not have much choice in the matter. So I have used taxies in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. However, I find that you get different types of cab drivers in the different cities. There are some that I like and some that I do not. I would say that the proportion of cab drivers in the &#8220;I like&#8221; category are\u00a0approximately:\u00a0Adelaide (75%), Melbourne (80%), Sydney (20%), Brisbane (50%).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Good cab drivers like the world.<\/li>\n<li>Bad cab drivers hate the world.<\/li>\n<li>Good cab drivers take you where you want to go without\u00a0hassles.<\/li>\n<li>Bad cab drivers ask you questions to determine your geographic knowledge and when they work out that you to not know the roads take you a longer way to get a higher fare.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I do not know why I have such a dislike for taxies.
