{"id":22436,"date":"2014-05-10T20:05:17","date_gmt":"2014-05-10T09:05:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/yewenyi.net\/wpblog\/?p=22436"},"modified":"2014-05-10T20:05:17","modified_gmt":"2014-05-10T09:05:17","slug":"working-bees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yewenyi.net\/wp\/old\/?p=22436","title":{"rendered":"Working bees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sherbrooke.vic.edu.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Sherbrooke Community School<\/a> working bee was supposed to be the weekend before, but it was postponed a week, I am told because a meeting did not happen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">I ended up doing two working bees on weekend. The first working bee\u00a0was at the <a href=\"http:\/\/kallistakindergarten.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kallista Kindergarten<\/a>. The day was overcast and further up the mountain there was a light rain. I guess because of the poor weather there was a smaller turnout. Still there were about\u00a010 hardy souls. I worked on a garden bed with some others to weed it, plant some local natives and cover it with a hay mulch.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/yewenyi\/13975046917\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/yewenyi.net\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/20140514-070744.jpg\" alt=\"Kallista kindergarten\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">After a stop for lunch at the <a href=\"https:\/\/plus.google.com\/117167434202664055061\/about?gl=au&amp;hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kallista Deli<\/a> and to do some shopping at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biodynamic.com.au\/Products.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kallista bio-dynamic<\/a> market; I headed up to the school.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Further up the mountain it was moderately raining. I hunted for the hardy few who were braving the conditions. I worked with one other to remove the leaves and branches from the top of the chicken enclosure. After this we spread some mulch from the mulch pile.
