Here is some info from that time:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">MARKDALE.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">(From our correspondent.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Since my last the weather has been very changeable,<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">-rain, hail, snow, and sunshine, with now and then<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">a south-westerly buster, taking it in turns.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Our school has been made a provisional school,<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">under the regulations of the council of education, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com.au\/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&amp;ion=1&amp;espv=2&amp;ie=UTF-8#q=William+Joseph+Newman+479+yewenyi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mr. \u00a0[William Joseph]<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com.au\/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&amp;ion=1&amp;espv=2&amp;ie=UTF-8#q=William+Joseph+Newman+479+yewenyi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Newman<\/a>\u00a0teacher.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It is reported, that, one night last week, two<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">young gentlemen, names known, made their ap-<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">pearance at the door of a publican in Binda, requiring<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">admission, but it being after hours, and they being<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">after enjoying a &#8220;nip&#8221; too much, were refused.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">They then tried to make an entrance at the back, and<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">failing in that also, determined to make the landlord<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">pay for their disappointment by stripping the clothes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">line of its contents, and carrying them away. It is<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">very probable that, instead of the landlord having to<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">pay for &#8220;their disappointment,&#8221; they will have to<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">pay for their own folly, as I hear warrants are being<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">issued for their apprehension.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">August 16th.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">MARKDALE.
