Some people seem a bit surprised that I would stay in a place like the Tune Hotel<\/a>. But I have moved up market. Now that I have the camera and computer and stuff, I have moved on from the old backpackers and youth hostels. Though I miss those places very much. I really should check out to see of they have rooms. I spent two nights in the room.<\/p>\n

The staff were efficient, but not on the whole very friendly. I booked a room and paid extra for the air-con, towel and internet. I did not go for the TV. The room was about what you would expect for a place like this. I have stayed in smaller hotel rooms. It was quite new and all low cost, low maintenance and effective. Quit what I like in a hotel room.<\/p>\n

On thing was there was quite a bit of art that I liked. It spruced the place up compared to the staidness of a more up market hotel. I stayed in room 423.<\/p>\n

Mr Yap, who sat next to me on my flight said that this building had once been a hospital. He also said that the street outside was ok during the day, but quite dangerous at night. Certainly when I arrived there were 4 people, two unconscious on or near the overpass, who seemed to be so far gone that they could barely move. But at no stage did I think it was dangerous, apart from, maybe the traffic on the roads.<\/p>\n
