OPEN VERDICT
Wallsend Woman's Death
The Coroner (Mr. A. G. Chiplin) re-
turned an open verdict at an inquest
held at Newcastle Courthouse yesterday
into the death, of Mrs Ellen Muriel
Cramp, 29, of Wallsend. The Coroner
found that death was due to septicaemia
following a certain event, and that the
husband was not in any way to blame.
Mrs. Cramp died in Newcastle Hospital
on March 13.
Sergeant R. Shaw represented the
police.
The Acting Government Medical Offi-
cer (Dr F. W. D. Collier) said that the
cause of death was septicaemia,
Dr. J. V. Champain, resident medical
officer Newcastle Hospital, said that he
performed an operation on Mrs. Cramp
on March 10. Her condition gradually
became worse. She died three days later.
Albert John Cramp, invalid pensioner,
Youll-street, Wallsend, said that about 5
p.m. on March 8 his wife complained that
she was in pain. A doctor and a nurse
were called, and he was told that his
wife would be all right. Next morning
she appeared to be well and he left home.
When he returned at 5.30 p.m. he learned
that his wife had been taken to hospital,
where she died.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
