Ronald Cramp
Son of Mr and Mrs Cec Cramp, of George Street, Warilla and dear brother of Leo (Newcastle), Vercy, (Mrs B Brownlow, Crookwell) Dorothy (Mrs Frank Harvey, Figtree), and Fay (Mrs Edward St. George, Lake Illawarra South) aged 26 years.

A welder fell 64 feet to his death at the A.I.S No 1 Open Hearth yesterday. He was Ronald Cramp, 26, single, of Lowes Cabin George St Warilla.
Cramp, an employee of Stud Welders Pty. Ltd. was employed on roof modifications work on the No 1 Open Hearth, was working with three companions when he slipped and over balanced. He fell from the scaffolding 64 feet onto the brick roof of the furnace. He is believed to have been killed instantly. A Doctor examined Cramp within minutes of the fall and found him to be dead. Wollongong ambulance took the body to the Wollongong District Hospital Mortuary.

Former Resident Killed

A former resident of Crookwell was killed at Wollongong last Thursday.

He was Ronald Cramp, 27 of George St Warilla, who plunged 90 feet to his death at the Port Kembla Steel Works.
Mr Cramp, who was the son of Mr and Mrs Cecil Cramp, was an employee of Stud Welding Pty Ltd. He was working with three companions on an open shaft when he slipped and fell from high scaffolding.
Mr Cramp had been working for 12 months at Port Kembla, following a long term in the Australian Army. The deceased was killed instantly.
The funeral moved to the Church of England portion of the Wollongong cemetery on Saturday.
