We have been informed by Mr. Peter McCabe that he does not intend to allow himself to be nominated for the position of President of the Macquarie District Council of the Fanners and Settlers' Association at the annual meeting of that body. Mr. McCabe has occupied the position for three con-secutive terms, but finds that, in fu-ture he will not have the time neccs-sary to devote to the office. He wishes us to make this intimation so as to give the branches time to consider the selection of his successor.
