• Other: Crookwell Death, Goulburn Herald, 1881 Feb 19, Goulburn District, New South Wales. 14 I regret to have to commence my correspondence by having to announce the death of J W Bray Esq, JP, at his residence yesterday morning at 10 AM. The deceased gentleman had but a short illness, as it was only on Tuesday last that he took ill. Dr Morton was immediately summoned, and he and Dr Gentle we in almost daily attendance up to the night before his death. From the first but little hopes were entertained of the deceased's recovery. It is sure that this news will cause universal and genuine regret though the district as the deceased was deservedly respected for his many stirling qualities. The late Mr Bray was in his fifty-ninth year, and I beleive was amongst the first arrivals in this district, having first come here some forty years ago, and his loss will be greatly felt in the district. I think none could be more so.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
