Au interesting marriage was solemnised at St Peter's Church of England, Wynnum South, on November 15, the church being thronged with spectators. The bridegroom was Mr Rex. G. A. Dear (eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C Dear, of Eagle Junction) and the bride Miss E. M. (Nell) Chatwood (second daughter of Mrs. Chatwood Palmyra, Wynnum South). The Rev. H. P. Hale officiated. The church was pret- tily decorated by girl friends of the bride, the chancel being arranged so as to form an arch, from which was suspend- ed a handsome wedding bell of white car- nations and roses (kindly made by Mrs. J. M. Geddes). Miss Maggie Lloyd (cousin of the bride) sang " A Song of Thanksgiving," and Me Bryant officiated at the organ. As the bride entered the church the congregation sang " The Voice that breathed o'er Eden." The bride, who was given away by bei uncle (Mr. E. Chatwood), wore a dainty wedding robe of rich ivory charmeuse, the skirt cut with square train ornamented with sprays of orange blossoms and handsomely worked in seed pearls. The Magyar bodice was draped with shadow lace and small kiltings, of ninon, showing vest and under- sleeves of hand embroidered seed pearls. She also wore a beautiful wreath and veil. The toilette was completed by a bouquet made of asparagus plumosus cairnations, stephanotis, and roses. Misses Lilian and Catherine Chatwood (sisters of the bride) acted as bridesmaids, and wore dainty frocks of white taffeta and white and pink hats with Lancer plumes. They carried white and pink bouquets. Mr. H. Elworthy (uncle of the bridegroom) acted as best man, and Mr. H. T. F. Geddes as groomsman. After the ceremony the bridal party motored to Palmyra, the pretty home of the bride's mother, where the wedding breakfast was held. Only relations of the bride and bridegroom were present. The tables were dccorated with white and pink carnations, and the centre of the bride's table was ornamented with a three-tier wedding cake. They usual toasts were honoured. Later Mr. and Mrs. R. G. A. Dear left by motor, en route to Southport and Tweed Heads for the honeymoon. Mrs. R. G. A. Dear wore a costume of white voile, richly em- bossed in amber silk, and a Leghorn hat arranged with white crepe and finished with Lancer plume. A beauti- ful white satin cushion which te bride knelt upon, was worked by Miss. G. Charlton. The guests included Rev. and Mrs. H. P. Hale, Mr. and Mrs. C Dear, (parents of the bridegroom) Mrs. M. Chatwood (mother of the bride), Mrs. Chatwood, sen. (grandmother of the bride), Mr. and Mrs. J. Lloyd and Miss Lloyd, Mrs. E. Mutch, Mr. C. Hammar, Mr. and Miss Elworthy, Mrs. G. Chat- wood, Mr. E. Chatwood, Mrs. J. Chat- wood. Mr. H. T. F. Geddes, Messrs. G. and V. Dear and Miss. Hollyman. The presents which were numerous and handsome, included several cheques, and a case of cutlery, and fish servers from the Brisbane staff of Messrs. Thomas Borth- wick and Sons '.
