Rechab Harry Andrews, accountant at Messrs. J. Bidenoopo and Son's, deposed that the deceased had been employed by that firm as manager of the woollen de-partment. He was aged about 27 years, and was a native of Sydney, where his mother still resides. Witness identified the body in the morgue. He had known that deceased was not a strong man. …

ANDREWS.-On July 26, 1948, at Hobart, Rechab Harry, beloved husband of the late Caroline Andrews, of 9 Infracombe Crescent, Sandy Bay, loving father of Jean, and brother of Lilian, in the 88thyear of his age. No flowers.

CREMATIONS
ANDREWS.-A service for the late Mr. Rechab Harry Andrews, of 9 Ilfra-combe Crescent. Sandy Bay, will be held at Memorial Church, Brisbane St., on Wednesday (Tomorrow), at 10 am, and funeral will arrive at the Chapel, Crematorium, Cornelian Bay, at 10.35 am.

DIAMOND
WEDDING
TOMORROW
MR AND MRS R. H. ANDREWS,
of 9 Ilfracombe Cres., Sandy
Bay, will celebrate their diamond
wedding anniversary tomorrow. Mr
and Mrs Andrews were married on
March 31, 1885, and have many his-
torical associations in Tasmania.
Mr Andrews was born in Tasmania,
but his wife, formally Miss Caroline
Cramp, is a native of Victoria.
Mr Andrews' grandfather, John
Blackwell, arrived in Australia from
Nottinghamshire in 1820. He was
married on arrival in Hobart by the
Rev. Robert Knopwood, having met
his bride-to-be during the voyage
from England. Mr Andrews' other
grandfather came to Tasmania in
1837, and soon after took up temper-
ance and other reform work.
The family has always been con-
nected with the Memorial Congrega-
tional Church. Mr R. H. Andrews
first attended as a Sunday school
pupil, afterwards becoming. Sunday
school superintendent secretary and
treasurer, and is now life deacon.
He has been connected with the
Temperance Alliance for about 60
years, and has been a vice-president
for more than 20 years. At one time
he was secretary of the State Coun-
cil of Churches, and is an office-
bearer in the Congregational Union
of Tasmania. He was secretary to
the firm of Bidencope and Son Pty.
Ltd. for many years.
There are three members of the
original wedding party now living
Miss D. Andrews, Mrs R. J. Cramp
(Hobart), and Mr P. L,. Andrews,
chemist (Longford). The anniver-
sary will be celebrated quietly.
