OBITUARY
MRS. J. ELDRIDGE.
Our Crookwell correspondent writes:-
Mrs. Joseph Eldridge a, well know
and much respected resident of the dis-
trict died on Wednesday at the Cottage
Hospital, after a long and painful illness.
For over two years the deceased lady
had been ailing, and a few weeks ago
she was brought in to Crookwell to be
nearer to the doctor.
The late Mrs. Eldridge was 65 years
of age. She was born in Victoria and
came to this district when she was a
very small child. Her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Francis Campbell lived at Mark-
dale near Binda. Mrs. Eldridge married
forty six years ago, and spent all her
married life at Grabben Gullen, where
most of her children still live.
A husband and six children still sur-
vive. The sons are, William, Rueben,
Charles and Ernest. Mrs. Thomas Gay,
and Mrs. Sherman (Cootamundra) are
daughters. The funeral which was
largely attended took place on Thurs
day morning, the Rev. Broadfoot con
ducted the service.
