MRS. LYDIA MARKS
One of Crookwell's pioneers, Mrs.
Lydia Marks, died at her residence.
Denision Street, on Friday. She was
84 years of age. Her husband, the
late Mr. Richard Marks, died 21 years
ago.
Mrs. Marks was well-known and
highly respected in the Crookwell dis-
trict, where she had lived practically
all her life.
Surviving, sons are: Messrs. Charles
(Watomandara), Reuben (Crookwell),
Sidney James (Dee Why), Arthur
(Orange), Percy (Crookwell), and one
daughter, Miss Annie Marks (Crook-
well.)
Mrs. Marks was buried in the C. of
E. portion of the Binda cemetery.

Lydia married Richard Marks [391] [LDMV-GPG] [MRIN: 14], son of William Marks [715] [LDMV-2BT] and Ann Lamb [387] [K2H6-CC4], on 1867 Jun 6 in Binda, Georgiana County, New South Wales, Australia.⁷ (Richard Marks [391] [LDMV-GPG] was born in 1844 Sep in Binda, Georgiana County, New South Wales ⁸, christened on 1846 Jan 22 in Parish of St. Saviour, County of Argyle, New South Wales,⁹ died on 1907 Oct 9 in Crookwell, King County, New South Wales, Australia ¹⁰ and was buried on 1907 Oct 11 in Binda Cemetery, Georgiana County, New South Wales, Australia ¹¹.). The cause of his death was Lukemia - (A Pernicous Anaemia on Death Certificate).
