SHOCKING ACCIDENT
AT WINDSOR STATION PASSENGER FALLS UNDER TRAIN
FALLING beneath a train on Wednesday evening as it was moving in to the Windsor railway station platform, a visitor to Windsor, Mr. William Toole, of Neville, near Blayney, sustained shocking injuries, his right leg being crushed to such an ex- tent that it was necessary to amputate the foot, while his left leg was fractured and he also received extensive body and head injuries.
The accident occurred about 7pm when the Sydney-Kurrajong train was pulling in to the Windsor platform, it appearing that Mr. Toole, who was riding in one of the front carriages which usually draw right out of the platform owing to the, length of the train, was standing near the door of the carriage with other passengers, being ready to alight when the train came to a stand- still. Another passenger who was standing in front of Mr. 'Toole apparently alighted before the train had actually stopped and Mr. Toole, who is an elderly man, obvi-ously thought that the train had stopped and stepped from the carriage, losing his footing on the platform, which had become wet and slippery from the rain, and fell beneath the still moving carriages. It is thought that the train passed over the un- fortunate victim's right leg, which was frightfully crushed, while the left leg was fractured. He also sustained painful body injuries and an extensive scalp wound. When the train had been brought to a standstill passengers and railway officials ran to his assistance, and extricated him from beneath the train, the Hawkesbury District Ambu-lance being immediately summoned, and was quickly on the scene, the injured man being conveyed to the Hawkesbury District Hospital, where he was admitted, his con-dition on Thursday morning, although some- what critical, being, reported as being as satisfactory as could be expected.
Mr. Toole, with his son, Mr. Reg. Toole had arrived in Windsor from Neville some few days ago, and on Wednesday Mr. Toole, senr., had been in Sydney receiving medical attention, having spent the greater part of the day at the Lewisham Hospital. It was his intention to return to Windsor on Wed-nesday night and leave on Thursday morn-ing by motor car for his home near Blay-ney. While in Windsor Mr. Toole was stay-ing with Mr. and Mrs. H. Allen, of Newtown.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
