OBITUARY
Mrs. Cath. Neville Passes
in 82nd Year
The death occurred in the
Cowra District Hospital on
August 1st of Mrs. Catherine
Neville, one of the oldest iden-
tities of the district, at the age
of 82 years.
The late Mrs. Neville, who
was the eldest daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Nev-
ille, of Hovell's Creek, was mar-
ried in Boorowa in 1886 to
Michael Patrick Neville, who
predeceased her by 38 years.
The early part of her life was
spent at Hovell's Creek .and she
came to Cowra 28 years ago
where she resided until her
death.
She is survived by five sons,
Patrick (Bigga), Thomas (Wag-
ga), Peter, John, William (Cow-
ra), and five daughters, Mary
Ellen (Mrs. Bright, Matraville),
Margaret (Mrs. Balgowan,
Stanmore), Ellen (Mrs. Mary-
ott, Penrith), Annetta (Mrs.
Dudley, Parramatta), Norah
(Mrs. Clarke, Cowra); also 27
grandchildren and 26 great-
grandchildren.
Two sons and one daughter
predeceased her.
She is also survived by two
sisters, Mrs. P. Carlin (Vaux
Street, Cowra) and Mrs. E.
Carlin (Wyangala).
The late Mrs. Neville was a
devout Catholic and a faithful
member of the Sacred Heart
Sodality.
The funeral left St. Raphael's
Church on Thursday, August 2,
for the Catholic portion of the
Cowra cemetery.
Pallbearers were sons Pat-
rick, Thomas, Joseph, John,
William and son-in-law, Gordon
Dudley.
Mr. A. P. Simeon had charge
of the arrangements.
