At a by-election held on Saturday to fill two vacancies on the Glen Innes Municipal Coun-cil created by the resignations of Aldermen W. E. Lightfoot and J. R. Windeyer, Messrs. James Plante and John R. Osborne were elected. The voting was as follows:-James Plante, 185 votes; John R. Osborne 148; A. E. Hogbin, 74; Frederick Cox, 74.
