MOUNT VICTORIA, Saturday

The Primate (Dr Saumarez Smith) left hero this afternoon, and preaches at Blackheath to-morrow morning and evening A confirmation sjrv ice will be held in the afternoon, and he proceeds to Ka- toomba on Thursday.

At the Mount Victoria Hall last evening a welcome was given to the Primate in the form of a social en- tertainment. The Rev T. J. Heffernan was in the chair. The Primate gave a short mid practical address. A musical selection was gone through in which Mrs. Rienits, the Misses Rienits, aud Mr.

Oswald Rienits, Miss Emily Cooper, and other lady amateurs, also Monsieur Pouasard, took part. The Rev P. J. Simpson, presentor of St. Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney sang several sacred songs. The proceeds go towards the extinction of the C. E. par- sonage debt. There was a fair attendance.

RIENITS v RIENITS.

Oswald Guenther Rienits petitioned for a dissolution of his marriage with Marion Eveline May Rienits (formerly Cramp) on the ground of desertion by reason of non-compliance with on order for restitution of conjugal rights, The marriage was celebrated at Syd-ney in June, 1902. according to the rites of the Church of England. Mr. Collins (in- structed by Mr. Stephen Ahern) appeared for the petitioner. A decree nisi was granted, returnable in six months.
