Mrs. Sarah Ann Spencer, whose death oc-curred at Burwood on Sunday, at the age of 86, was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. James Christie, a pioneer farmer of the Wheeo district. Her husband, Mr., Thomas E. Spencer, a builder and contractor, who died in 1911, was the representative of the em- ployers on the first New South Wales Court of Industrial Arbitration. Mrs. Spencer leaves a son, Mr. Cecil C. Spencer, of Mosman; two daughters, Mrs. G. Rodger, of Narrawa, and Mrs. G. I. Ingledew, of Burwood; and a step- son, Mr. T. W. Spencer, of Chatswood. The funeral, which was private, was held on Mon- day at the Anglican Cemetery, Rookwood.
