These herbs were sold to the local village for use as medicines. When you were fourteen a blight hit the farm and totally destroyed all the herbs. As your family were no longer able to support you, you were sold to a travelling show that was passing through town at the time. ~D: This was a common practice at the time and Wen Cha Lin views it as a positive step, for it has allowed all that follows.) You spent many years cleaning and helping with the show, watching the older members and learning their trades. Finding you actually had natural ability as a fortune teller, you specialised in that field. when the old one died you took over her role as a fortune teller For many years you travelled with the show, always learning and always building up a significant reputation for yourself. After many years a young wizard called Lao Erh joined the show. After a quick romance you were wed. Lao Erh taught you the basics of magic and your first spells. While the show was in Nu Gong Zao, Lao Erh made some claims to friends as to how he could easily defeat Yun Tin Kang, the then Emperor's Wizard, in a one on one contest. This was overheard by the city guard and passed back to Yun Tin Kang. He had Lao Erh arrested and beheaded for high treason. You vowed that one day you would revenge this death. After this you left the show and began travelling on your own or with small groups of adventurers earning a living from fortune telling, singing and herb medicine. One morning you awoke to find a gilled man with webbed hands and feet watching you from the riven Your inner senses told you that he meant no harm. After having tea together and discussing your immediate future you learned that you were both simply travelling the world to discover it and yourselves. Deciding to join together for the near future at least, you continued your journey. That was several years ago and you are still together Shi's stories of life under water and his adventures across the land still gain your attention every time you hear them. During a crossing of the Ice Deserts the caravan you were travelling with was attacked by Ice Giants. Yuen Wu Ye intervened after the battle was all but lost and saved the whole caravan train. As part of your gratitude you scried his future. This also revealed the true, honest and friendly nature of the man hiding under the demeanour of a tough and mysterious wizard Your feelings of SM have grown during your time together. Now you would feel a great loss if he left you. On a trip to the southern peninsula you discovered an interesting fact about the Wu family. when the current head of the family dies, a special tattoo will magically transfer itself to the next member of the family line. when in the town of Liang, you were approached by some men claiming to be servants of the local Duke. You went with them and were offered the job of travelling with the Duke's son to the city of Nu Gong Zao. This was to help the cause of the Duke's family during these times of great turmoil. In return he offered to make you a free-person in the city, provide free board and lodgings whenever you were in the city and a share of anything gained on the quest. As Liang is a major centre of magic and you visit the place often, you accepted the offer with the addition that SM be included in the group. when you met the members of the group you instantly recognised Yuen Wu Ye and knew you had made the right decision. SM has shown a strange reluctance but you have convinced him to join. You have since travelled to Nu Gong Zao. The world is in turmoil and the Ming Emperor is rapidly losing his grip on power. The portents we for turbulent times but you can gain significantly if you play things correctly. The Three Heavenly Opals have been stolen. A sure sign that the Ming Emperor will soon be depose& Personality All of your years in the carnival have given you a need to always be on centre stage. You enjoy listening to and telling stories. You also give out cryptic but relevant advice whenever you feel the need (well.. there is always the need). You hate the Ming Family and the ex-imperial wizard Yun Tin Kang. You love extravagant clothing in the style of the circus. Relationships Yuen Wu Ye: You have made it a bit of a personal quest to get at the man under the wizard to make him relax and be himself. You agree with his hatred of Yun Tin Kang and will support his rise to success that you have foretold. Tang Li Bing: You believe in the man 5 strength as leader of the group. His caring nature toward people in need is very appealing to you. You seem to team well together in parry disputes. Xue Shu Chong: You get a great delight at undermining his authority behind his back when he is too overbearing. Fang Zhen Shang: You are fascinated by her unknown background.
