AGENT FINED.
At the Central Police Court yesterday after- noon, Mr. Reed, S.M., gave his decision In the case in which Herbert Richard Cramp, 62, was charged with having, on or about Feb- ruary 29, being a farm produce agent, within the meaning of the Farm Produce Act, 1926, rendered to Alfred Oscar Hollibone a false account of money received by him in connec- tion with the receipt, sale, or disposal of farm produce, received from Hollibone.
A fine of £5 with costs was imposed.
On a second and similar charge relating to April 1, Cramp was fined £10 and costs.
Mr. R. C. Kirby (instructed by G. Hender- son and Taylor) appeared for the prosecution; and Mr. C. R. Parker (instructed by G. Keith Gunn and Co.) for the defence.
