ACCIDENT AT CANTERBURY.
Wilkinson v Skinner.
In this action Harold Eric Wilkinson, a milk vendor, sued William Henry Skinner, claiming £2000 damages for injuries received in a motor accident in Sharp-street, Can-terbury, on October 27 last, for which plain-tiff blamed the negligence of the defendant. According to plaintiff's evidence he was rid-ing a motor bicycle with a friend in the side-car when the defendant, who is an elderly man, 75 years of age, approached from the opposite direction, and, failing to observe the road regulations, crashed into the machine, throwing both the riders into the road and inflicting severe injuries. The defendant de-nied that the accident was due to negligence on his part. The collision occurred on a straight road, and the question of culpability rested upon the position of the motor vehicles at the time of the impact.
Mr. Windeyer, K.C., and Mr. Cassidy (in-structed by Mr. Emil E. J. Ford) appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. W. B. Simpson (in-structed by Messrs. Abbott, Tout, Greer, and Co.) for the defendant.
The case is part heard.

There are other people in this site, for various reasons, some not related at all. Some are married into my family, some I once thought were related and, turns out, they are not.

On the Aborigines: Unfortunately, I can only place global statements not he web pages. The aborigines I am aware of are in the Blackman Line and are from the children of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley.
