Also Mr. A. E. Christie, of North
Wheeo, which occurred on Sunday,
at the age of 47 years. The cause
of death being a chronic lung
complaint, deceased had been ailing
for about twelve months, so the
end was not unexpected. Deceased
leaves a wife and three young
children to mourn their loss. De-
ceased was a brother of Mr. W. J.
Christie (Sydney),- Mrs. T. Spencer
(Sydney), Mrs. F. Beard' (Young),
Mrs. D. Bunker (Taralga), Mrs. D.
Brown (Parkesbourne), and Miss
Emily - (Sydney), - and Dolly
(Young). The funeral of deceased
will take place to-day at 1 o'clock,
when the remains will be interred
in the Methodist cemetery. Crook-
well.

It is with sorrow I have to
chronicle the death of Mr. A. E.
Christie of Wheeo, which sad event
took place at his residence on the
29th July last. He had been in
failing health for some time past,
the immediate cause of death being
chronic bronchitis. He was under
the best medical aid that could be
obtained, but he passed away on
the date above mentioned at the
early age of 47 years. He was a
kind parent, a devoted husband,
and a good neighbour. He was a
true discipline of the old adage
"live and let live." He was highly
esteemed by his neighbours as was
shown by the large concourse of
people attending his funeral; Yass,
Dalton, Crookwell, and Narrawa
district being represented. He was
a keen business man and he left
his widow and family in comfort-
able circumstances, having put to
gether a comfortable home of free
hold land. He was a true type of
the genuine sportsman. He loved
the game of cricket and he played
it for the love he bore. He had
always been an active, supporter of
the North Wheeo C.C., even after
his health failed, he still remained
a financial member of that club.
The members of the North Wheeo
Cricket Club extend to Mrs. Christie
and her family their sincere sym-
pathy in her great loss. His
funeral was largely attended, and
his remains ware laid to rest in the
Wesleyan portion of the Crookwell
cemetery,

Alfred married Elizabeth Rebecca Margules [1668] [LCFZ-77T] [MRIN: 416], daughter of Louis Edward Margules [1675] [LHGB-YD6] and Charlotte Elizabeth Merriman [1676] [LHGB-YFS], in 1887 in Yass, King County, New South Wales.¹ (Elizabeth Rebecca Margules [1668] [LCFZ-77T] was born in 1865 in Yass, King County, New South Wales ⁸ and died on 1943 Dec 16 in Gunning, King County, New South Wales, Australia ⁹.)
