I went on the Cargo Bike Ride with Bike Sydney. The weather was not kind, but we had a good turnout. Lots of interesting bikes and I got to ride a cargo delta trike with unusual steering that worked well to give a small turning circle. We started in Centennial Park, rode along the bourke street cycle way, and then over to Sydney Park where there were displays and we had lunch.
“Small turning circle” is the thing that my cargo bike is DEFINITELY missing.
I am not sure what it was. On full lock I could only hold one side of the steering bar. It was better than the 3.2 meter turning circle of my trike. But still with a cargo trike I have seen people get off an turn it to make a sharp turn.
