The nuns and the dispensary

I learned this much later. But when I was a child we lived on the roof top in a house of the new wing of Mount Alvernia Hospital. On the other side of the roof was the nun’s quarters and on the floor below was their convent. Sometimes, the nuns used to baby sit me. When I would not go to sleep, at least one of them would slip down to the dispensary and get some sedatives to put me to sleep.
