World Youth Day 2008 and No to Pope Rally

early in the morningWe did a SPB photo walk and went to both. Three of us started at 6AM in the morning outside McDonald’s in Circular Quay. To get there I had to catch the train from about 5:30 AM.

Our fourth member was on the other side of the bridge and advised that entry was easy.
We headed off across the bridge to join the pilgrims on their journey across the bridge.

This took us into town. Here we left the pilgrims, grabbed a quick lunch in a food hall and headed off to the protest.

We followed the protest down to Moore Park. Here the protesters met the pilgrims.

After that I was tired and caught the train home. I did not go to the kiss in for the protesters, or the ceremony for the pilgrims.
