It is unusual to see major traffic jams and crowds of people in a country town. The number of visitors I head from different sources ranged from 8,000 to 20,000 and the population of the town is somewhere between 10,000 and 15,000, so lets say, there were lots of people. But I have to say, I was impressed at how the town took the whole thing in its stride. I’ll say more about the organisation of the festival itself, but there was definitely a festive spirit in the air.
The first thing of note is that Elvis was every where, often wandering around in larger gracelands of elvii. He also comes in all ages, sizes and sexes.
Even Pricilla was there. I have to say that the couple are good singers for ones so young.
The shop fronts were decorated as there was a prize or something for the best shop front.
And then there was the organisers and to finish off, some more images.
In the evening we had dinner at Rice, a Thai place in Parks that was quite good.
