Our first meal was at the Hakka Restaurant. I had seen it when I had been in Malaysia in February, but I did not go there because I was on my own. It was not far from our hotel and Billy agreed to my request to go to this restaurant. I thought the food was good, but I think Billy was disappointed. Only one dish we had was a proper Hakka dish.
My main reason for going to this place was that I am Hakka. There was a fair bit of argument about this later. Most people in Malaysia are Hokkien. I think the number was put at 80%. Other famous Hakka people are Sun Yet Sen and Lee Kuan Yew.
