On my return leg to Ipoh, I stayed at the Excelsior Hotel, it is an older hotel but perfectly functional. In the end, I never ended up eating the free breakfast as I went out for every breakfast to be had. The rooms were quite large. I’d say the service was efficient and functional.

Strangely there was a bit of debate amongst the people of the Hotel. There was a group of Chinese women staying on my floor who has some interesting things to say. Also, there were others who seemed to be concerned that I would sneak out later, after I returned to my hotel room. Very strange. I guess I really should have gone out and done a night time shoot. But I was usually quite tired and I did not have my tripod.
Also an Australian man seemed to be under some pressure from some angry locals. He shouted out, we fought to save your life style!
