I am learning to use the phone on the new camera. Certainly the iPhone 3gs camera is a step down from the N95 camera. So I have been taking lots of photos to get an idea of what it will and will not do.
I do not know what the ISO range is, or the shutter speeds or the aperture. But the camera really only has an auto mode. The ability to pick the focus point is good and this will also impact the light metering. This is normally good. I find it quite fiddly to set up the focus and press the shutter release, but maybe this is just a matter of practice. Also I am finding that the location of the camera is causing me to get quite a few images with my fingers in them. Maybe this is also just a matter of practice. We will see what happens with time. It took me a good 12 months to start taking good photos with the N95, so it may take as long to get used to the iPhone.
