Well, the time had come to move from the Tune Hotel to the Equatorial Hotel. The Tune Hotel was a modern new hotel, the Equatorial a hotel built in the 1970’s with a much higher level of comfort, but showing it’s age. To do this I walked along Jalan Sultan Ismail. I am not sure which sultan this jalan is named after. The first part of the road, around the monorail station (Medan Tuanku) and the Sheraton Imperial has a covered foot way on both sides of the road. I guess it is there becuase of the Monorail.
I cross over the Sungai Klang and under the Ampang Elevated Highway.
Where Jalan Sultan Ismail crosses Jalan Ampang, there is the Bukit Nanas monorail station. It provides some interesting views of the Petronas Towers.
After this I passed a bit of Americana in the Hard Rock Cafe.
After a walk up a gentle hill, I reach the Equatorial Hotel.
